What can I build with Prod Forum?

One home for your product documentation, FAQs, AI answers, changelog, and public roadmap. Write and publish from your workspace, then share a customer portal that looks and feels like your brand.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Starter and Growth include custom domains with managed SSL. Add your domain in your workspace, point your DNS record to Prod Forum, and verify the connection. Your customers stay on your domain.

Can I bring my own AI key?

Yes. Paid plans have two options: managed AI provided by Prod Forum, or a lower-priced BYOK plan using your own OpenAI or Anthropic key. Keys are encrypted and used only on the server. Your provider bills API usage separately.

Where do AI answers come from?

Your published documentation and FAQs. Answers include links to the source pages. If the knowledge base does not have the answer, the assistant tells your customer rather than inventing a response.

Can I match the portal to my product?

Absolutely. Choose your accent color, light and dark background colors, logo, and preferred theme. Customers can switch between light and dark mode.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Create a free workspace and start publishing. Choose a paid plan when you need your own domain, more pages, or a higher monthly AI allowance.
